The Native American Initiative works with tribes and tribal organizations to provide higher education for Native American students by promoting, assisting, supporting, and mentoring them.

Manvel High School / Homepage

Enrollment in the Wi'ashal (Big Oak) Future Leaders Scholarship Fund is open to most California tribal members. About $20,000 is available annually to students earning a professional, associate, or bachelor's degree from an accredited, nonprofit college, university, or professional program.

To support American Indian and Alaska Native (AI/AN) students, NABS has established Indian Board School Healing Scholarships for Descendants of Native American Survivors.

Catching A Dream Scholarships range from $500 to $5,000 annually. 95% of students who apply are awarded scholarships.

Uw Football Announces Eight Future Non Conference Games

Applications are open from July 5 to August 1, 2022, and are open to all local or low-income students who are not federally accredited or live in Central California.

The Patsy Mink Education Foundation provides the first preschool education for low-income mothers.

The Native American Youth Conference (NAYC) is hosted by Fresno State's Department of Special Programs and Relations. The one-day session has a target audience of Native American students in grades 6-12 from all school districts. Our goal is to provide prospective students with the opportunity to explore pathways to higher education by attending classrooms such as application information, financial aid and scholarships, A-G requirements, pathways to higher education, student services, and resources. Cultural and higher education presentations, along with special speakers. There is no registration fee for all registered youth, including a free conference T-shirt, and lunch will be provided.

Lmc Campus Event Calendar

Neum NASA is a student organization open to all Indigenous and non-Indigenous students. They support events and organize events to raise awareness for a better understanding of Native American communities by promoting mutual respect for all. The former First Nations Club began in 1969 as the Tewakachi American Indian Club. In 1983, Tewaquachi sponsored the first American Indian Heritage Week and the Fresno State Pow Wow. These events bring together Native Americans in Fresno's San Joaquin Valley to contribute to a common effort to promote the culture and well-being of Native American students and communities. Today, the Native American Student Association continues the tradition of hosting the annual Fresno State Pow Wow on campus and actively strives to increase social awareness by creating an environment of awareness and understanding for all Native Americans. The 2022-23 academic year schedule is divided into two 15-week semesters (fall and spring) and 2 elective sessions, one in January and one in May.

University High School, grades 9 through 12, is a free public high school located on the campus of California State University, Fresno. University High School enrolls approximately 480 students interested in music for accelerated college preparatory education. Students take advantage of opportunities at large university campuses to gain a solid foundation in music and the liberal arts and sciences in a small high school environment.

University High School traditionally accepts 9th graders who are applying for 8th grade. Based on our current class capacity, University High School also accepts transfer students who wish to enter University High School in grades 10, 11, and 12. University High School encourages all interested parents and students to come to our fall and winter information sessions.

Wilson High School

All students attending University High School will learn the content and practice the skills we expect to prepare all students for the choices they make after leaving high school. All students benefit from attending a university high school, but a university high school is not a school for everyone. Students must be committed to the program we offer in order to succeed. Phoenix Alliance The Phoenix Alliance raises funds to support the educational, artistic and social activities of University High School.

Parent Portal The Parent Portal is an online portal accessible from anywhere on the web where parents can log in and view all of their child's grades, assignments, grades, courses and schedules in one place.

Dogs Leave A Lot To Be Excited For In The Fall, In Spring Football Finale

Submit official transcripts including Fall 2022 courses and Spring 2023 assignments and AP exam results by February 1, 2023.

New Bulldog Visit Day – We welcome prospective Bulldogs and share more information about our services and programs. The festival also showcases our Bulldog spirit with student performances, tours, games, music and other fun activities.

Incoming students must complete dog day reservations for transfer students by June 1st. Students who do not complete the registration process by the deadline may have their admission to Fresno State revoked. All students arriving in fall 2021 or later must submit proof of immunity in accordance with CSU Executive Order 803.

Without Sat, Act, What's Next For Cal State Admissions?

Fresno State will open to applicants in the spring of 2023. The application period is from August 1, 2022 to August 31, 2022.

Fresno alumni who have dropped out of good standing and are seeking reinstatement after two consecutive semester absences must apply to Cal State. If a returning student attended another college or institution after the previous semester at Fresno State, an official transcript from those schools must be submitted. See relevant admissions deadlines and key dates.

1. Students wishing to return to another discipline must meet the following basic criteria, if applicable. If they return to the same profession and do not meet the eligibility criteria, there is a possibility of readmission. However, all academic assignments are at the discretion of the department and/or program. Any returning student with 60 placements or more must declare a major even if Fresno State has not declared.
