The university claims to have one of the most diverse student bodies in the country, providing opportunities for students from all over the world to study. In 2021, according to US News and World Report, GSU was ranked eighth in terms of ethnicity. A university in the United States. With more than 400 student organizations, a 26:1 student-faculty ratio, 31 fraternities and sororities, and over 10,000 degrees awarded annually, the university is one of the most popular among international students.

Georgia State University's nationally ranked and accredited programs. It offers more than 250 degrees, including majors, minors, and pathway programs in major fields of study. The following programs are offered to international students.
This English for Academic Purposes (EAP) program is offered to international students who do not meet the English language requirements for direct entry into their chosen major. The course content, activities and assignments are designed to prepare students for the language skills required for university. Advanced students typically read, discuss, and write about academic course topics. Beginners and intermediate students, on the other hand, focus on basic language skills. Applicants can meet GSU's English proficiency requirements by completing Level 5 of the IEP (C or higher).

Georgia State University admits applicants on a merit-based basis, and each degree program has minimum admission requirements.
International RUG applicants must have completed 12th grade and have SAT or ACT scores. The grade point average for freshmen is as follows (based on the 2019 class 50%):

In addition, students from non-English speaking countries must pass one of the English language proficiency tests.
Gsu Academic Calendar 2022/2023 Academic Session
GSU does not have a minimum GPA requirement to qualify for graduate programs. However, the average GPA for competitive applicants is 3.2 on a 4-point scale. For master's programs, applicants must have a US equivalent bachelor's degree in the relevant field of study. For research programs, students must have bachelor's or master's degrees, or equivalent US degrees. Some courses may also require GRE or GMAT scores. There is no minimum GRE requirement for graduate programs. However, competitive candidates have a cumulative average score of 295-300 on the verbal and numerical portions of the test. Also, competitive candidates have a GMAT average of 620. Other test scores, such as the LSAT and MCAT, may be required for each course. In addition, non-native English speakers must meet one of the following English language proficiency requirements:

Except for some specialized courses, there are no minimum English score requirements for graduate programs. See the relevant course page for more information.
Note: International qualifications must be equivalent to a four-year US bachelor's degree from an accredited institution. This is determined by internal assessment or course-professional assessment depending on the college, school or institution of interest.

Georgia State Football
GSU requires all international academic documents to be duly reviewed by the Graduate/Postgraduate Admissions Office or an independent review body. All documents must be in English. If not, it must be translated into English or accompanied by a certified English translation.
Graduate students must submit one transcript for each college or university attended, including community colleges, study abroad programs, and AP credits. Transcripts must be submitted for review, regardless of class list, where the final degree was earned, or length of attendance.

The registration fee for the UG program is USD 60, which is non-refundable. A non-refundable application for postgraduate programs is required for each course as follows:

The tuition fees below are for 2020-2021 only. Students should expect tuition and fees to increase substantially during the academic year.

GSU does not offer financial aid to international students. However, scholarships for accepted international students are limited. Awards or grants are awarded based on criteria such as merit, personal financial status, and field of study. GSU offers enrollment for the spring, summer, and fall semesters, however, some courses are offered with elective enrollment, so students should check each course page to determine which course is offered.

Get Funding For Summer Public Interest Work
Like national applicants, international RUG applicants must apply through the Common Application Portal. Please only fresh students should apply through this portal.

International students can apply online using the university's application portal. To start a new application, students must first register their personal information. Applicants can view and track their application details at any time.

Undergraduate admissions decisions will begin on or after March 1, with applications due by February 1. Applications submitted by April 1 may receive written notification of admission on or after May 1. Graduate schools and departments carefully evaluate the candidate pool.
