Mcallen Isd Calendar 2023 – The start of the 2021-2022 school year is just around the corner and we want to make sure all children are up to date on vaccinations.
Mission Consolidated Independent School District is gearing up for the new school year and we want all students to be up to date on their immunizations. The district strongly urges all parents to ensure vaccinations are up to date before registration. Students' vaccination records must be current at the time of registration to avoid delays in enrolling their children.

All children must have all the necessary protection against the following diseases before the child starts school: diphtheria, polio, measles, rubella, mumps, Hib, PCV, hepatitis B, hepatitis A, varicella, Tdap and meningococcal. In addition, it is highly recommended that every student be vaccinated each year to prevent the flu. Please check with your family doctor/clinic to ensure vaccinations are up to date.
Mcallen Isd Calendar Voting (parents & Community)
The Texas Education Code requires each student to be fully immunized against disease in accordance with the requirements of the Texas Board of Health. According to education regulations, a student who is not fully vaccinated and who has not started the mandatory vaccinations cannot attend school. When transferring from another school district in Texas, a student may be admitted for a period not to exceed 30 days until immunization records are received.
Immunization resources in the CISD mission area include Healthy Shots in McAllen at 668-8366; Hidalgo County Health Department in Mission 585-2461; Nuestra Clinica del Valle Memorial SBHC in Alton 519-1800; Nuestra Clinica del Valle Mission Family Health Center 580-3303; Preventative Health Solutions in McAllen 618-4700, ProCare Health Services in Mission 205-2204, San Martin De Porres Clinic in Palmview 519-9500 or your family doctor/clinic.
Students are encouraged to obtain the meningococcal vaccine for $5-14. After age 18, the cost of this vaccine is $150 or more depending on the lab.
