Uvu Academic Calendar Fall 2023 – The Utah Resident Freshman Academic Merit Scholarship will be selected from current high school seniors who demonstrate that they meet the academic criteria (see graphic below).
Students will owe the balance of tuition, general student fees (as noted on the Current Tuition Schedule), and other fees related to their coursework.

Although Academic Merit scholarships do not require a scholarship application, we encourage students to complete a scholarship application to view other opportunities that may be available.

Outreach Scholarships are available to current graduating high school seniors who are willing to work hard and complete certain milestones on their path to completion. Eligible students are given financial incentives to achieve this feat.

Board Of Higher Education Approves Tuition, Fee Increases At Utah Universities And Colleges
Milestone 1: $1,000 at the start of year two, after the student completes math* and English 2010 in 30 credits AND in one academic year.
Achievement 2: $1,000 at the start of year three, after the student completes an associate degree in 65 credits AND within two academic years.

Achievement 3: Tuition costs for the final semester (up to 18 credits) if the student is eligible to graduate at the end of that semester AND within four academic years.

According to UVU's bursar/financial aid office, projected 2023 tuition & fees are $6,270 for Utah residents and $17,830 for out-of-state students. It is 4.32% higher than the current tuition rate based on out-of-state tuition.
