The Calhoun County Gifted and Talented School District serves students in grades 3-12. Students working in this program are provided with a challenging curriculum that allows them to reach their highest potential.

Ccps 2023 Calendar

Parents and teachers can apply for students in grades 3-8 to be nominated for the gifted program. The test results will be used to determine eligibility for the gifted program for the following school year. Assessment/referral forms will be available in the school guidance office and must be submitted by the end of March each year.

Ccps Graphics Toolkit

The first exam will be held in the fall of the academic year. Because the testing process is multi-part and some students may require additional testing, final results will not be available until the end of the academic year. Students who receive a gift may be placed into the gift and gift program for the following academic year. Parents will be notified if their child is eligible for inclusion in the program.

Second graders should not be sent to gifted and talented education programs. All second graders will take proficiency and achievement tests in the fall of the school year. Parents of second graders will receive notification if they automatically or partially qualify for the gift program.
