Teachers will return to class on August 8 and students on August 15, according to the proposed schedule presented to board members at the February 15 workshop.

Veterans Day will be a half day for students and staff, allowing them to participate in field activities to celebrate the holiday.
After the Christmas break, the first semester starts on January 12th and the school year ends on June 2nd.
According to the regular calendar for this year's school year, teachers returned on August 11th and students began on August 18th. The first term ended after the Christmas break in mid-January and the school ended on June 3rd for the summer holidays.
April 2023 Calendar
The district previously proposed a revised schedule that would have students have more recess but start school earlier, and Superintendent Keith Price said many parents opposed it.
Price confirmed at the workshop that he wants to hold public meetings to get feedback that will help the district decide whether to propose a changed schedule in the future.
"So we haven't given up; we haven't moved on," Price said. "At this point, we need to work with him a little bit more to determine which way to go."
