BYU continues to clear games from its future schedule as it prepares to move from Independent to the Big 12 in 2023. Learning communities are environments where students they study the subject in a unique way with a group of students who share their interests. Students can choose a course that aligns with their major or a completely different course to complete their educational experience at UConn. The success of an educational community depends on the active and positive participation of the students who live there.

Students living in a learning community must take a course or group of courses together in the fall and spring semesters. In addition, students may be asked to serve on community boards and participate in activities, events, or trips.
Learning Communities offer a fun way to learn, make new friends, connect with people, and participate in programs and opportunities on and off campus! Students often say that they feel like a family rather than a class.

No! In fact, learning communities are a great way to stay connected. Taking a Learning Communities course connects you with UConn faculty and staff who care about your academic and social success. They'll help you figure out how to make the most of your time in college, starting with your first semester!

Students report that they feel a sense of belonging to a close-knit, supportive community and still have all the freedoms of other students living in the residence halls around them. I can make friends around campus and pursue other interests.

Students spend time together in a course or group of courses and participate in events, activities and excursions throughout the year. Students may serve on committees in their communities (eg public relations committee, community committee, etc.) and/or complete a service learning activity. Some activities are mandatory and others are optional. You still find time to study academically, relax, pursue other interests and have fun!
No, unfortunately, due to the large number of applicants, you will have to live with someone from the relevant study community.

Students cannot apply to participate in the same living and learning community. However, most are open to students after the first year. So you can apply for residency for one year and then the next year.
If your major has a non-residential learning community, you can apply for a 1-credit class as well as apply for a Living & Learning community.

These are FYE (First Year Experience) courses with 1 credit for the main courses in which students enroll in the first semester of the course. The course is taught by a professor or advisor in their field and provides students with information about career paths in that field, as well as connecting them with opportunities and tips for success. Students meet peers in their majors, providing them with a support network throughout their studies and beyond.

Students do not apply to participate in non-resident study groups. Some majors are automatically enrolled in the corresponding UNIV 1810 FYE course, while others have limited space, so students must apply early to participate. In addition, the Huskies will take a big step forward in their success on the field and announce the life of Maya Moore.

When Geno Auriemma met with the media in mid-August, his team could only practice in groups of players who lived together. However, he hoped to have a full team training session within a week. While this timeline is unrealistic, Doug Bonjour of Hearst CT reports that Huskies have finally moved away from purebred practices.

For those wondering, the UConn women's basketball team has gone from home practice to full team practice. A small but important step in this unprecedented season. — Doug Bonjour (@DougBonjour) September 12, 2020

When Maya Moore retired from basketball, she turned her attention to fighting to free Jonathan Irons, a family friend who was wrongfully convicted of a robbery when she was 16. His conviction was eventually overturned and Irons was released from prison in July.

But on Wednesday, Moore and Irons announced their engagement on GMA. The two originally met through a prison ministry program before Moore's freshman year at UConn. Over time, they became friends and established a relationship. Several years ago, Irons asked Moore to marry him during a prison visit, but told her to "not say anything right now" because his release date was not yet known.
After Irons was released, the couple celebrated at a hotel with friends. When the party ended, Moore and Irons were alone in the room. Then Irons got down on one knee and asked her to marry him. This time, Moore said yes.

Moore said in an interview that he has not yet made any decisions about his basketball future, but that he will do so in the spring. A documentary about the "Irons" story with Roberts is also being prepared.

Entering the weekend, UConn had ESPN's No. 9 player in the class, K.K. Bransford's top 12 in 2022 The Huskies are joined on his list by Arizona, Baylor, Duke, Louisville, Maryland, Michigan, North Carolina, Notre Dame, Tennessee, Texas and UCLA.

UConn's interest in Bransford is nothing new. He traveled to Storrs in late February for an Oregon State practice and game, so he was on the Huskies' radar.

But with the 2021 class (barring one domino the size of Azzie Fudd), UConn is turning its attention to its 2022 prospects. So let's take a look at the program when the Class of 2022 arrives in Storrs in two years.
UConn currently has four scholarships for 2022, but that is certainly subject to change. Since 2012, the Huskies have brought in 27 players (not including the 2020 class), seven of whom left before the deadline via transfer or the WNBA draft. If this pace continues, UConn will lose 1-2 players other than seniors over the next two seasons.

While it would be unfair to speculate on any transfer, it is worth noting that Evina Westbrook and Anna Macurath will likely leave the WNBA draft after their junior seasons. All of this means the Huskies will have 4-6 open scholarships (15 total) to use in the 2022 class.
However, Geno Auriemma has long been concerned about the number of women's basketball scholarships available and has never fully awarded them, with the Huskies adding many players who fit the program rather than just one (for example, Sania Chong in 2013) or until five (like this year). – history tells us UConn will add 2-3 more players in the 2022 class along with Isune Brady.

After the 2021-22 season, the Huskies are projected to lose Olivia Nelson-Odo, Westbrook and Christine.
