How To Apply
A native of Danbury, Connecticut, Altericio came to Binghamton after a stellar playing career at Central Connecticut State. A center fielder, he led the Blue Devils to NCAA Tournament berths in 2018 and 2019, snapping a 28-game hitting streak. Alterisio was a two-time defensive captain, two-time Northeast Conference Defensive Player of the Year and was named to the United Football Coaches All-North Team twice. His senior season accolades were numerous and included an invitation to the NEWISA Senior Bowl. He led CCSU to a 9-1-1 conference record and a return to the NCAA Tournament, where they advanced to the second round. Alterisio had 7 blocks, an offensive goal and 3 assists.

"Our program is excited to have Shawny Altericio join us," Bhattacharjee said. Shawn had a fantastic career at Central Connecticut State High School under Mick D'Arcy. At CCSU, he was a solid, no-nonsense defender and has plenty of NCAA postseason experience for our team to learn from. He is another outstanding member of our coaching staff.
"Binghamton women's soccer is pleased with the personnel we have," Bhattacharjee added. "Nicole and Shawn will be great role models for our student-athletes, embodying the qualities and values we look for in the culture of our program here and raising the bar to continue competing for America East championships."
